Gregoris Orphanides
Queen Mary University, Medicine
- Lead tutor of the UCAT/ HPAT course

Gregoris Orphanides is a third-year medical student at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry (Queen Mary University of London).
His first exposure to research came during high school, where he worked part-time at a neuroscience research company in Cyprus — a collaboration that continued throughout his medical studies and resulted in multiple publications.
Gregoris also has a strong background in computer science. As a high school student, he was the captain of the Cypriot national robotics team, and he now serves as the head referee and judge for the Cyprus Pancyprian Robotics Competition “First Tech Challenge” (FTC Cyprus).
In introducing FTC to Cyprus, he was responsible for developing a programming teaching manual, which he later delivered to educators from both public and private schools. His teaching philosophy focuses on guiding students to identify multiple approaches to problem-solving, and then empowering them to adapt those approaches to their own reasoning styles.
Outside of academics, Gregoris enjoys running and fishing in his free time.
